The Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda
National Executive Council

The National Executive Council, or NEC, is responsible for the vision, direction, fiscal security and general oversight of the national fraternity. This body consists of 13 members, including two undergraduate representatives voted upon at each Conclave.

Pat AllenNational President - Pat Allen (Contact)

Phi - Oregon State '82

Patrick Allen is the Director of the Oregon Office of Regulatory Streamlining, where he helps state agencies make their business regulations less costly and complicated.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Oregon Manufacturing Partnership, and has recently completed a term on the board of the Software Association of Oregon.

His Fraternity career has included holding many chapter offices, being a member and past president of the Phi Chapter Corporate Board, and serving over 15 years on the National Executive Council, including two terms as National Vice President.

Brother Allen serves his community as Vice Chair of the Sherwood Planning Commission and as a member of the Sherwood Urban Renewal Policy Advisory Committee. He is active with Sherwood Youth Basketball, and has recently completed a term as Board President of Casa dei Bambini Montessori School.

Brother Allen is married to Joan (Alpha Xi Delta) and has three children.

Kevin CamdenNational Vice President - Kevin Camden (Contact)

Alpha Lambda - Northern Illinois '92

Kevin Camden is an attorney with Scariano, Himes, Petrarca, Chtd., an education law firm representing school boards in Illlinois. His practice focuses on public sector labor negotiation and labor relations.

Brother Camden served on the NEC two years prior to being elected Vice President.

Prior to joining the NEC, he was active as the Chapter Advisor and Corporation Board Secretary for Alpha Lambda Chapter (Northern Illinois).

As an undergraduate, Brother Camden held a number of chapter offices, including President, as well as offices in the Northern Illinois University Greek system.

He is married to Shelly (Chi Omega) and has three children, Liam (possible initiation date of 2021), Makena and Claire, and two huskies, Toby and Stoli.

Don EnstromNational Vice President of Finance - Don Enstrom (Contact)

Phi - Oregon State '73

Don Enstrom is an independent engineering consultant in the food industry.

His involvement in AKL has been continuous ever since he pledged. He has served in almost every position on the Phi Corporation Board.

He is the recipient of the US Navy Civilian Superior Achievement Award, the Nabisco President's Award and the AKL Distinguished Service Alumni Award.

Jeremy SlivinskiNational Secretary - Jeremy Slivinski (Contact)

Beta Nu - Virginia Commonwealth '96

Jeremy Slivinski is the Executive Director of the Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Brother Slivinski joined the Fraternity's headquarters staff in 2001 where he held the previous position as Assistant Executive Director.

Upon graduation, Brother Slivinski served as the Interim Greek Advisor at VCU  as well as a member of the Beta Nu Corporation Board. Prior to his employment with AKL, he worked for an Assisted Living Community as Director of Activities.

Brother Slivinski is married to Krystal (Alpha Sigma Alpha) and has one child.

Bryant GatrellDirector (Term: 2007 - 2011) - Bryant Gatrell (Contact)

Gamma Alpha - Missouri '91

Bryant Gatrell is a practicing attorney in Charlotte, North Carolina

Brother Gatrell is founder father of the Gamma Alpha Chapter at the University of Missouri and was honored with the Holmes Award in 1993.

Brother Gatrell is married to Anika and has three children.

James ThompsonDirector (Term: 2006 - 2010) - James Thompson (Contact)

Xi - Truman State '61

James Thompson is a retired Certified Public Accountant.

Brother Thompson has been active with Xi Chapter since graduating from Northeast Missouri State College, now called Truman State University. He is currently serving a second term on the Xi Corporate Board as treasurer.

Brother Thompson has attended the last three Conclaves. He was elected to the Fraternity's National Executive Council in 2006.

Brother Thompson is married to Connee and resides in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jeff FeistDirector (Term: 2005 - 2009) - Jeffrey Feist (Contact)

Delta - Kansas '86

Jeff Feist is Vice-President of sales for the Phillips Distilling Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was very active with the Delta Chapter, receiving the Clarence E. Brehm award in 1988.

He currently resides in Woodbury, Minnesota with his wife Doreen (Gamma Phi Beta) and his three children.

Richard CruzDirector (Term: 2004 - 2008) - Richard Cruz (Contact)

Kappa - Purdue '64

Ric Cruz is a Vice President of Business Development at Future Tech Enterprise, Inc., and a retired colonel in the U.S. Army.

Brother Cruz is currently President of the Purdue Alumni Association and was the recipient of the Fraternity's Distinguished Alumni Service award at the 2006 Conclave.

Kevin UffelmanUndergraduate (August 2006) - Kevin Uffelman (Contact)

Beta Nu - Virginia Commonwealth '05

Kevin Uffelman is an undergraduate member studying history at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been a Dean's List scholar since 2006.

Brother Uffelman is a past President of the Interfraternity Council and Co-President of the Fraternity and Sorority Caucus.

He was recently awarded the Council Luminary Award by the VCU Greek System for "exemplifying the ideals of Alpha Kappa Lambda while promoting the advancement of all fraternity and sorority chapters on campus."

Eric BreeseNational Chaplain - Eric Breese (Contact)

Psi - Iowa State '88

Eric Breese is a consultant in the telecommunications field.

Brother Breese has been active with the Psi Corporation Board, assisted in the colonization of Beta Upsilon Chapter at the University of Iowa and has attended multiple Conclaves - serving in several capacities.

Brother Breese lives in Chicago.

Dr. Joe JohnsonDirector of Academic Affairs - Dr. Joe Johnson (Contact)

Omicron - Pacific '63

Joe Johnson has served as Chancellor and President of three institutions of Higher Education.

He holds a doctoral degree in higher education from the University of California - Berkeley.

In addition to his role on the National Executive Council, he is also a board member on the AKL Education Foundation.

Edward WilsonPast President - Edward Wilson (Contact)

Tau - Penn State '68

Ed Wilson is Vice President of Wealth Management at Smith Barney.

Brother Wilson is a longtime active participant in the Penn State Alumni Association where he can be seen "at any and all Penn State football games."

Brother Wilson resides in the historic village of Hudson, Ohio, and is married to Sue (Alpha Delta Pi) and has three grown daughters.
