Alpha Kappa Lambda to expand to Penn State - Abington

In an effort of continued growth to new campuses Alpha Kappa Lambda is pleased to announce that we will be expanding to the campus of Penn State Abington in the Fall of 2012.

Penn State Abington is located in a suburb of Philadelphia in Abington, Pennsylvania, 15 miles north of Center City. Current enrollment at the institution is 3,450 students. It is a distinguished baccalaureate campus college within a world-class, land-grant research university. The college creates transformative educational experiences that empower students to forge their own success as productive, responsible, and discerning citizens of a global society.

In a multicultural and student-centered setting, the Abington College provides multiple educational options for degree choice, campus location, learning strategies, disciplinary and interdisciplinary studies, experiential and public scholarship, leadership, and civic commitment, culminating in the integration of academic learning with life experiences.

We are excited about this opportunity. Penn State Abington currently only has Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc. on campus, chartered in 2010, and Alpha Kappa Lambda will be the first NIC fraternity. 11 men reached out to us with the interest and motivation to start a colony. Through conversations with these young men they are ready and willing to become Men of Character Committed to Making a Difference.

In the expansion process we will be recruiting alumni volunteers to assist in advising and serving on the corporation for the colony.  If you are interested in getting involved please email us at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

We look forward to welcoming this new campus and group of men into our roll this fall semester!
