Alpha Kappa Lambda Colony Chartering

The colony is chartered, so what is next?

First the new chapter will participate in a retreat led by Fraternity staff and volunteers. This retreat will focus on short term and long term goals of the new chapter. All members will need to attend as well as any volunteers working with the chapter.

In regards to the National Fraternity the chapter will focus on meeting our accreditation requirements as well as possibly applying for National Awards that are presented at Conclave. The National Fraternity will expect the chapter to keep growing and to become the number one fraternity on campus.

The University and Greek system will expect Alpha Kappa Lambda to remain involved. We must live our identity, Men of Character Committed to Making a Difference. This means the chapter will continue to do service for the community, will excel in academics and will take leadership roles throughout campus.

Depending on the size of the chapter arrangements to acquire a chapter house may begin. This will require assistance of the corporation board and a lot of planning.
